NORTH OF THE TYNE, UNDER THE STARS

Senior Producer for Pinwheel

Over four nights in March 2022, this free event brought magic to audiences of around 40,000 people in Newcastle City Centre, with spellbinding projections playing out across iconic buildings and streets.

The festival finale followed a series of events in neighbourhoods across Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside in the weeks before, which were enjoyed by 16,000 people.

North of the Tyne, Under the Stars wove a new fable for the region. Driven by a sense of place and the tales gathered by a character called the Story-Weaver – imaginative, magical and locally resonant stories – the events used projections, atmospheric imagery, sound and fire to capture the character, beauty and diversity of this region and ignite the imagination of the audience.
